AAUW, founded in 1881, is an organization of more than 100,000 members, open to graduates who hold the associate, baccalaureate, or higher degree from a qualified college or university. The Kirkwood–Webster Groves branch, founded in 1971, is one of six branches in the St. Louis area.

Community Involvement
K-WG Branch is involved in our community. We host monthly activities with informative speakers, our study groups engage in lively discussion and learning, and we participate in special events such as Lobby Day and Women's Equality Day.

How to Find Us
Our "home base" is the Oak Bend Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 842 S. Holmes, but meetings and activities may take place on varying dates and at other facilities.

Facilities for general activities are handicapped accessible. The public is welcome to attend, and our events are free except for some dinner events. Contact vice president Christine Roney Stricker for program information.

Sept. 6 (Saturday)—We're walking and volunteering at the League of Women Voters "Yellow Umbrella Event" for voter registration at St. Louis University, 10:30 a.m.

Sept. 11 (Thursday)—"Issues Forum and AAUW: What's it all about," 7 p.m., Oak Bend Branch Library, 842 S. Holmes (south of I-44 at Big Bend).

October

Oct. 9 (Thursday)—Potluck dinner and speaker on domestic violence; location TBA.

November

Nov. 4 (Tuesday)—Election night party, home of Marsha Koch, 7:00 p.m.

December Dec. 11 (Thursday)—Holiday event: Shopping and dinner at a local restaurant, beginning at 6 p.m., location TBA.

Jan. 8 (Thursday)—Human Rights and Amnesty, 7:00 p.m., Oak Bend Branch Library, 842 S. Holmes (south of I-44 at Big Bend).
